πŸ–₯️ Booking Check In

Let your team check in to desk bookings

Updated over a year ago

What is check in?

Checking in is an action by your team member to indicate that they are confirming their desk booking, a.k.a they are on site.

Why check in?

Checking in allows you to have an idea of how many desks are actually occupied and which team members are physically on site.

How it works?

Check in works in tandem with your Slack. This can be enabled in your account settings:

Once it's enabled, your team members will receive a Slack notification on the day of the booking to check in:

Checked in bookings will look like this with a green check mark beside it, non-checked in bookings will have an orange and white symbol:

You can control the check-in behaviour further by enabling automatic booking cancellations if it hasn't been checked-in. This is controlled by each of your locations setting - "Cancel bookings if not checked-in by...".

For example, you can set your location setting to be 7 (am in 24hr format), meaning all bookings not checked-in by 7am of the day of the booking will be automatically cancelled at 7am, thereby freeing up desks for others.

In order to enable this setting:

  1. Click on your profile image, then "Settings"

  2. Select "Locations" tab (please note this is accessible to admins only)

  3. Scroll down to your location and click "Settings"

  4. In the opened popup, under Cancel bookings.. enter a time of day in 24hr format

Your settings will auto-save.

Now the system will run daily checks and will cancel bookings that haven't been checked-in by the time specified in step 4 above.
